Ordered them and their mounting flanges this morning. Hopefully I'll be test fitting them on the manifold soon...

Oh hell yes! What's the 2J in, and what's the end goal of the project?

SPLOOSH. Oh man, 40s of 45s? I was just looking at dual 40s for my 02. Oh what a dream. That's about $1500-1800 in carbs, right?

45's...about $1200. But that's just the carbs. No linkage or manifold. I'm making the manifold myself, and may make the linkage.

Check ebay...your 2002 needs weber! lol

I do. Constantly. See, my car is very stock right now. Put a weber 32/36 on, with bill HDs, sway bars, and sport springs (installing tomorrow). But, I don't know how far I should take the car. I'm on a college student budget and I'm conflicted. But, my dream is a sorted suspension, dual 40s, 292 cam, 5 speed, 3.91 LSD, some decent rubber, and Recaros.

Sounds like you're off to a good start...I'd get the car completely dialed in how you want it, then save your money while enjoying it. When the time is right you can rebuild the motor and take care of that cam and carbs. Then it goes back into an already sorted chassis and you're ready to play!

See, I would go quad-two barrel for my Rover V8, but so expense, many funding. Wow. Instead, I'm using motorcycle throttle bodies, which were about $150 for double-four. I needed to get 8x stacks somehow, after all.

I want these on my EJ22. A pair sticking out of each head so it will kind of resemble an old VW.

I haven't been able to find one...there's talk of them...but no pics or video.

It's kind of a backwards swap. I'm doing it for the look mainly. That along with custom cam covers should make this engine look like it has been living in that bay for 40 years. That's the goal at least. Make it look like it's supposed to be there.

That should be a nice setup. Motorcycle throttle bodies are a good budget way to get ITB's.

That's what I thought. I'm most a fan of the classic Hilborn style fuel injection setups (fell in love after I saw a set on a race-prepped '63 Galaxie as a kid), but they're 100% impractical for day to day driving. Hilborn also makes an EFI kit, but it and their standard setups are pricey almost beyond belief - they make the Webers look cheap.

Very much like that. I'm going to make custom cam covers to resemble the motor out of the 2000gt. My goal is to make the engine look like an old twin cam Toyota motor that came in it factory.

Do you know what header that is? That's exactly what I want. I was planning to have one made...
